"This October marks the fourth annual Portland Design Festival. This 10 day, city-wide festival brings expression to a full complement of design disciplines, from graphic design and film to architecture and urban planning. Formerly the Portland Architecture + Design Festival, PDF reflects the collaborative nature of the city’s contemporary design culture.

The Festival presents the opportunity to participate in an extended conversation about design in the Rose City while discovering the buildings, landscapes, neighborhoods, and urban spaces that make Portland special. Tickets are on sale for many events already."

Supertall Towers & Green Cities: An Evening with Architect Adrian Smith - Illinois - 10/2/13

2013 AVENUE Antiques, Art & Design at The Armory show - New York - 10/9/13 - 10/13/13

"2013 AVENUE Antiques, Art & Design at The Armory show, one of Manhattan's premier antiques and art fairs, will fill The Park Avenue Armory with the finest inventory from over 55 top dealers from across the globe.

A private opening night preview will be hosted Wednesday evening, by invitation only. Public show hours will begin the next day. Admission is $20."
