An Insider Look into Actor Hank Azaria’s Bel Air Home

Although it’s not your typical over the top Bel Air estate, Hank Azaria’s 1932 colonial-style home in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains boasts amazing views of both the ocean and LA city lights.

Azaria hired interior designer Trip Haenisch to provide a comfortable but plush atmosphere for his partner Katie Wright and their two-year-old son Hal.

“The house was a bit slick,” said Haenisch, whose other celebrity clients include Courtney Cox and Edward Norton. “We decided we had to organic it up.”

On top of a beautiful second-story veranda, the property features a pool, a gazebo, two terraces, a sports court a child’s playhouse, and the recent barn addition.  The 8,500 square foot home has five bedrooms in the main house and one in the barn annex, a family room, a gym and a screening room.  Azaria’s office doubles as a poker room, featuring a custom made, lavish table and a galley kitchen close by for entertaining guests.

The rest of the house includes quirks such as a checkerboard table, randomly numbered storage baskets, and illustrations from Azaria’s countless roles on The Simpsons.

“The house is very kid-friendly,” said Azaria. “For example, Trip had the idea to cover the sofa in the family room in teddy-bear fabric, which I still get a kick out of.”
