Why did you choose Real Estate?

I grew up with several family members in real estate, design, and development. I spent several summers with an aunt and uncle who significantly impacted my desire to work in the industry. My young desires became a passion and a reality as the years passed.

How did you get to where you are today?

Real estate is a rather personal business, and to have the excellent client retention rate I have means you not only have to work hard, but you also have to have a heart for it. Care and dedication to your client's needs nurture longevity; most of my clients become friends and my reach is expanding to their children, making me a multi-generational realtor.

What is one of your favorite client stories?

I have so many extraordinary stories, but one, in particular, was about a couple that came to me during their divorce. The woman was very downtrodden and did not have the strength to be involved, yet the house needed a lot of updating. The home where their children were raised was full of memories, family treasures, and lifetime keepsakes. My team and I understood the sentimental nature and were able to handle everything with care. The memories were correctly packed away for safekeeping, and the home was completely transformed with all surfaces touched. The efforts on our part were tremendous, while the client's were minimal. The outcome resulted in the home being sold for a record-breaking number. Ultimately, everyone was extremely pleased with the results and how it was handled.

What is your biggest success story to date?

I'm so grateful to have many success stories, but one that comes to mind is a listing that had been on the market for almost two years before I took it over, and once I did, it sold in 2 weeks.

What I did, as I do for all my properties, is prepare it to sell. This home needed to be cleaned and staged; we also repurposed what the client had, filled in with some additional staging, and shot new photos and video footage. In the end, the buyer had previously been to the property and felt that the home was not the "right" fit. They didn't even realize it was the same house they were visiting until they arrived at the property because the photos and video footage appeared so different and were vastly improved.

Decluttering and repurposing, painting, hardware changes, and updating light fixtures can transform a space and home. The addition of the proper warm touch features goes a long way.

What makes your market unique?

The South Bay Area of Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula) is one of the most desirable suburban areas in the US. These communities have an upscale small-town feel, beach lifestyle vibe, boutique shopping, great restaurants, and excellent schools. In addition, being just a short distance from downtown Los Angeles, the Westside, plus all other neighboring coastal communities, while being very conveniently located to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport, one of the largest airports in the world) makes it an extremely desirable place to live.
