On November 21, 2023, Miami's Aston Martin Residences Art Gallery proudly presented the work of acclaimed Argentine fine art photographer Aldo Sessa in its Virtual Art Gallery exhibition series. As part of the upcoming Miami Art Week, Sessa is featured with his exclusive exhibition, "Seances and Ghosts," a captivating two-month three-dimensional experience faithfully replicating the physical gallery on the residence's 52nd floor.

This virtual showcase unveils a curated selection of Sessa’s celebrated photographs from the 2000 book "Seances and Ghosts," written by the renowned American Science Fiction writer Ray Bradbury. The collaboration represents one of Sessa’s most celebrated works at the turn of the millennium. Reflecting on his artistic process, Sessa comments, "Photography is the closest thing to magic. To think that you just click, and now it’s sitting on the film’s emulsion, or the digital camera, as a trapped image inside, as something that is floating there, something unexpected, something no one saw but you."

In addition to "Seances and Ghosts," Sessa introduces "Cosmic Reflection," an original photographic interpretation exclusively crafted for the Aston Martin Residences’ permanent collection. Inspired by the sail-shaped architecture, the piece portrays the 66-story tower illuminated under the moon amidst an endless galaxy of stars. Reflecting on this exclusive work, Sessa shares, “In my artistic life, space has always occupied a privileged place in my mind. When working on this piece for Aston Martin Residences, I had a vision related to the immensity of space and the infinite magnetism of the moon and the stars illuminating it. The magnificent architectural presence of the building is enhanced by the blue diaphony of its crystals that merge in this magical night panorama.”

Sessa's artistic journey began in his youth when he studied at the De Ridder Atelier and expanded into graphic design, graphic arts, cinematography, and photography. His photography, showcased in over 200 exhibitions worldwide, has earned him recognition, including a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires in 1976. In 1989, he received the first retrospective exhibition of a living Argentine artist at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires. Honored for his contributions, Sessa became a National Academy of Fine Arts member in Buenos Aires in 1991.
