What are your recommendations for fun Memorial Day Weekend activities in your market?

Debbi DiMaggio, Piedmont, CA

One of the many reasons our market is so popular is our close proximity to many world-renowned vacation destinations. It's a toss-up at this point if we choose to spend the weekend in Sonoma, the Napa Valley, or Healdsburg. All three breathtaking wine country favorites are within a quick 1 to 1.5-hour drive away. We are fortunate to have friends with second homes in all three stunning locations. Hotels are expensive and they book up quickly so plan ahead. And be sure to make your restaurant reservations and plan your wine tours well in advance. Stay, play, sip and shop throughout the Napa Valley. Stay at Auberge du Soleil, Meadowood, or the Carneros Resort. Dine at Bistro don Giovanni. Sip and socialize at Silverado Vineyards or Robert Sinskey on the Silverado Trail. And what's a trip without shopping. Hit the towns of Yountville and St. Helena to find that perfect memento for yourself, a pet, a family member, or a friend.

If you would like our personal recommendations to sip, shop, play and stay, please do not hesitate to reach out, we'd be happy to help.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Enjoy!

Lisa Culp Taylor, Tennessee

From Music in The Vines at beautiful Arrington Vineyards to the final weekend of the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, there is so much to do this Memorial Day weekend in the beautiful Nashville area. It is also apropos that Memorial Day services will be taking place throughout the area including the annual Williamson County Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday in the beautiful Veterans' Memorial Park in downtown Franklin’s Five Points. For Middle Tennessee, school is now out and this weekend also signals the beginning of summer vacations for many with neighborhood and area pools now open as well as being the perfect time to hit fun-filled Nashville Shores and SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland.

Georgina Jacobson, Newport Beach, CA

Memorial Day is a popular time in Newport Beach as summer is just around the corner. Many locals enjoy a beach day or taking a boat or duffy out to be on the water.

The Newport Beach Wine Festival is taking place at the Balboa Bay Resort. The festival includes great wine tasting opportunities, amazing food, and bay cruises throughout the weekend.

The Newport Dunes also offers some great events including live music and a waterpark for kids during the holiday weekend.

Maxine & Marti Gellens, La Jolla, CA

We're huge baseball fans as Marti's sons are both professional players. Even though they won't be playing in San Diego Memorial Day weekend, as they're with the Phillies and Astros organizations, we'll be rooting for the Padres. We also enjoy our time at the beach which will be full of excitement over the weekend.
