Hamptons-based firm, Iconic Modern Home, has emerged as a disruptor in the luxury design space and takes pride in refining interiors for both new and return clients alike.

President of Iconic Modern Home, Teresa Kratzman, spoke to Haute Design about IMH’s collaborative process and the impact of the firm’s leadership.

Haute Design: How would you describe Iconic Modern Home’s design aesthetic?

Teresa Kratzman: Iconic Modern Home focuses on contemporary design across a variety of styles that best delivers design the way you live.

HD: What is your firm’s strongest asset?

TK: The leadership team led by Geoffrey Walksy, CEO and Creative Director of IMH and myself. Since our inception, we believed in a different way to approach the offering of design services. IMH is disrupting the traditional design model to offer another alternative for clients.

HD: Could you briefly describe Iconic Modern Home’s process with the customer?

TK: Our process is streamlined to provide a seamless client experience. For the most part, this would be the step-by-step course: We meet with the client to determine the scope of the project, the budget is discussed, we create mood boards, we select specific items and then we install!

HD: Working in areas such as the Hamptons and South Florida, is indoor-outdoor design one of the firm’s fortes?

TK: Yes, creating cohesive indoor-outdoor spaces truly took off at the height of the pandemic and continues to be in high demand. As Geoff would say, “Outdoor spaces are a direct extension of the interior rooms and reflect how the client wishes to use their home.”
