What do you ask clients to not have displayed when showing their home for sale?

I think it all depends. I don’t like selling a stark house. It needs to feel like a home and you need some photos/artwork/some personal stuff to show a buyer that they could live there. I have seen so many amazing properties that you don’t even want to sit down in and would feel uncomfortable. I always say, “Anything can look good, but can you live there?”

How did the second quarter of 2020 real estate perform in (your market)?

The 2nd quarter was very interesting. You would think that it was slow with everything going on. However, we had a lot of sales towards the end of the 2nd quarter. There was a huge amount of pent up demand during the lockdown and once we started opening up the buyers and sellers started making deals!

Is it currently a buyer or seller’s market in (your market)?

I would say it is a little bit of both. You have some people concerned with the economy and the state of our country who want to sell and then you have some that want to buy for any reason whatsoever to get out of their state and get to Florida. It is a very strange market. However Naples as a whole is a strong market.

What do you love about the housing market in (your market)?

Our market is very insulated currently from other markets and we are very lucky to be where we are. There is a lack of inventory and the market is continuing to rise. Plus, we have a little bit of everything: waterfront estates, golf course single-family residences, hi-rise condos, beachfront cottages. There’s really something for every buyer.
