Diane Lieberman Talks Advice for First Time Homebuyers

If you could give all first time homebuyers one piece of advice, what would it be?

A first time homebuyer that plans to get a mortgage should get qualified prior to his search. Once you know what the budget is, you can be realistic in the search.

Then they need to tell you their “hot buttons.” These are the 5 most important things they want for their lifestyle.

What areas do they like?

Do they need to be close to their children’s school?

Do they want to be on the water?

Do they need a pool? Etc.

Narrowing the criteria will speed up the process.

Since everyone is online, I like to start sending pictures so I get a better idea of their taste.
