Home of Abstract Expressionist Painter Sam Francis Lists for $18.75 Million

Curbed have reported that the former home of Abstract Expressionist painter Sam Francis is currently on the market for an asking price of $18.75 million. Located a few blocks from the Eames House in Pacific Palisades, the half-acre property recently underwent a makeover by Malibu architect Chris Sorensen. Originally built in the 1920s, the 8,000-square-foot home includes four bedrooms, six baths, an art gallery, media room, wine cellar, a cigar room, and a 4,400-square-foot second house with four bedrooms and four baths.

The estate features incredible design details, including 500 year-old reclaimed teak floors, hand carved stone, glass walkways and water features throughout.
