Steve Wynn Closes on Record-Breaking New York Penthouse

Casino magnate Steve Wynn has signed on the dotted line for one of New York’s most expensive real estate deals. The mogul paid $70 million for a two-story duplex at The Ritz Carlton, Central Park.

The nearly 11,000-square-foot duplex on the 30th and 31st floors of the building was once the hotel’s grand ballroom. It now features 15-foot ceilings, a library and a dining room with views of Central Park and Sixth Ave. on three sides.

A terrace accessible from the penthouse wraps around the entire building.

“It was an extravagant indulgence on my part, but it is so wonderful,” 70-year old Wynn said.

Wynn was married last year, and the couple hopes to move into the home by Thanksgiving.
