Here, Nichollete talks with Haute Residence about her biggest success and why she chose her profession.
Why did you choose Real Estate?
I chose Real Estate because growing up I had such an obsession with shows such as Property Brothers and House Hunters on HGTV. Besides falling in love with the industry through television, it was my love and my ability to excel in sales and realizing how important homeownership was that really got me into the industry.
I have sold things my entire career, from high-end garments, shoes, and accessories to computer software and databases. I told myself that I want the next thing I sell to not only impact my life, but also the person on the other end of the deal, and real estate definitely has done both.
What was your journey to where you are today?
My journey in real estate actually began the year after I became licensed right before the pandemic. I had just had my son Kash and I knew going back to a regular 9-5 job wasn't something I could see myself doing. I ended up quitting my 9-5 and taking the leap of faith. The journey has been like many filled with its ups and downs, but I focused on learning and absorbing as much as I can from some of the top players in the industry; as well as using social media as a way to attract clientele.
I think my authenticity, tenacity, and drive are what have set me apart from my counterparts.
What is your biggest success story to date?
My biggest success story to date was closing my first celebrity client. It was the deal that really catapulted me to the next level in my career. It was my client's first home and my first deal over $3 million dollars. I and my client's girlfriend knew each other through mutual parties for years, but it was through the deal that we really connected and the rest, as they say, was history.
