Casa Bella Residences Opens in Miami With B&B Italia Design and Piero Lissoni Interiors

Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia has officially opened in Downtown Miami, marking the Italian design house’s first residential development. Created with Related Group and Alta Developers, the 56 story tower combines Piero Lissoni’s interiors, Arquitectonica’s architecture and panoramic views of Biscayne Bay.
Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia has officially been delivered in Downtown Miami, bringing more than six decades of Italian design heritage into a luxury residential setting. Developed by Related Group and Alta Developers, the 650 foot tower at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard represents the first residential development by B&B Italia, extending the brand’s design philosophy beyond furniture and interiors into the homes themselves.

Rising 56 stories above the city, Casa Bella features 319 residences, including 10 penthouses, with more than 90 percent of the homes already under contract and closings underway. The development arrives as Downtown Miami continues to evolve into a major destination for luxury living, arts and culture.
“Casa Bella represents a first for a design house that’s spent nearly six decades defining Italian craftsmanship, and we’re proud that Miami is where B&B Italia chose to build it,” said Nick Pérez, President of Related Group’s Condominium Division. He described the tower as a collaboration between architecture, craftsmanship and hospitality, adding that its vision has become reality with the arrival of its first residents.

The project brings together several prominent names in international design. Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni, working through Lissoni New York, curated the interiors, while Arquitectonica led the architecture and Enzo Enea handled the landscape design. The result translates B&B Italia’s contemporary Italian aesthetic into a residential environment defined by clean lines, refined proportions and carefully selected materials.
Lissoni’s work extends from the grand lobby to the building’s shared spaces and private residences. B&B Italia furnishings create continuity throughout the common areas, reinforcing the relationship between architecture, furniture and everyday living.
“Furniture and architecture are not so different, both are about how a person moves through space, and how that space makes them feel,” Lissoni said. He explained that the project allowed the brand to bring its philosophy of proportion, material and craftsmanship into a home for the first time, emphasizing that designing a place where people actually live requires a different approach from creating a showroom.

Inside the residences, the design extends to ITALKRAFT cabinetry, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and countertops and fixtures personally selected by Lissoni. Each home features two private elevators, a private vestibule with biometric access control, soaring ceilings and pass-through layouts designed to frame panoramic views of the water and Miami skyline.
The tower’s upper levels house the Cielo and Penthouse Collections, representing the development’s final opportunities to own a residence within the building. Located on floors 48 through 51, the Cielo Collection includes 16 residences that combine generous interiors with elevated views and a contemporary Italian design sensibility.

At the top of the tower, the Penthouse Collection comprises 10 residences across seven floor plans. Each features 12 foot ceilings, B&B Italia furnishings, imported Italian finishes, custom kitchens and closets crafted by the brand’s in-house team. Select corner residences offer private rooftop terraces, spa pools and summer kitchens designed to extend entertaining outdoors.
“These crowning residences are the Casa Bella jewels at its fullest expression,” said Francesco Farina, Principal Contract to B&B Italia. He noted that the Cielo and Penthouse Collections reflect the company’s commitment to precision, restraint and uncompromising quality.
Beyond its residential interiors, Casa Bella offers two full floors of amenities designed around wellness, leisure and entertaining. The 360 Wellness Center includes a fitness hall overlooking Biscayne Bay, dedicated yoga studios, a spa and a beauty salon.

Additional indoor amenities include a private theater, wine cellar, game room, children’s playroom and co-working lounge. The combination provides residents with spaces for relaxation, socializing and everyday convenience without leaving the property.
The outdoor amenities draw inspiration from Italian gardens, with landscape design by Enzo Enea. Residents have access to an 80 foot lap pool, private cabanas, shaded lounges, a poolside bar, a Mediterranean café, an open-air yoga lawn, a pickleball court and private dining and grilling areas.
The experience culminates on the 56th floor at the Sky Pool Terrace. A second pool, rooftop lounge and private observatory offer sweeping views of Miami’s skyline and the surrounding waterfront, positioning the tower’s highest level as a distinctive setting for leisure and entertaining.

Casa Bella’s completion also reflects the wider transformation of Downtown Miami. Related Group and Alta Developers broke ground on the project in November 2023, with Coastal Construction serving as general contractor and Cain International providing construction financing.
Over the past two decades, Downtown Miami has attracted significant investment, including the opening of Brightline’s MiamiCentral Station and the continued development of Miami Worldcenter. According to the Miami Downtown Development Authority’s 2025 Demographics Report, more than 101,000 people now live in Downtown Miami, representing growth of nearly 68 percent since 2012.
The development is also positioned close to several of the city’s leading cultural destinations, including Pérez Art Museum Miami, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Kaseya Center and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Its location places residents within easy reach of Miami’s museums, sporting events, performances and downtown attractions.
For Alta Developers, the opening marks the delivery of a project rooted in a long-term belief in Downtown Miami’s potential. Raimundo Onetto, Principal and CEO of Alta Developers, said the tower demonstrates what can be achieved when a developer and a design house share a commitment to craftsmanship.
With its first residents moving in and only select homes remaining, Casa Bella Residences establishes a new chapter for B&B Italia, bringing the brand’s Italian design heritage into a residential project shaped by architecture, interiors, landscape and hospitality.
