MG Developer Expands into Lifestyle Hospitality with Launch of Regency Padel

MG Developer brings luxury, wellness, and community together at the chic grand opening of Miami’s newest padel destination.

MIAMI (June 18, 2025) – MG Developer, one of Miami’s premier real estate development firms, proudly unveiled its latest lifestyle concept with the grand opening of Regency Padel, a state-of-the-art set of new public and private padel courts located at the 176-key Regency Miami Airport by Sonesta. The launch marks a dynamic new chapter in the company’s growing commitment to community wellness, hospitality, and recreation.

One of the fastest-growing sports nationwide with more than 750,000 players across multiple skill levels per 24MarketReports, padel facilities and events have attracted large numbers of new and current enthusiasts, marking an attractive pull factor for hotel guests seeking modern and updated amenities.

“With Regency Padel, we’re creating more than just a court, we’re building experiences that bring people together through sport, design, and lifestyle,” said Alirio Torrealba, CEO of MG Developer. “It’s exciting to expand our vision beyond residential communities and into innovative leisure spaces.”

Featuring exhibition matches and a first look at the brand-new facility, the event drew local padel enthusiasts, hospitality partners, and members of the Coral Gables and greater Miami community.

The event was made possible through the generous support of lifestyle and hospitality partners including Red Bull, Polar and Miami-based Caiman Cane who transformed the padel court and pool area into a vibrant hub of activity. Alhambra Parc and The Village at Coral Gables, both signature MG projects, provided additional support for the entire event, including craft coffee from Cienfuegos Coffee, one of Miami’s most renowned coffee crafters. Highlights included an exhibition match featuring the Venezuelan National Pickleball Team, a live ball clinic hosted by Padel Galis and a pizza pop-up by local favorite Miami Slice, creating a fun and interactive atmosphere for guests of all ages.

Players can now easily book their games through the Playtomic app, making the new court an accessible and active destination for padel lovers across the city. Regency Padel is now open to the public, with upcoming clinics and tournaments planned for the summer season.

Located 1000 NW 42 Avenue, the Regency Miami Airport Hotel is a proud reflection of MG Developer’s holistic approach to design and community building, combining hospitality, wellness, and architecture under one brand. Located within proximity to major attractions and transit routes, the hotel is less than 10 minutes away from Miami International Airport – America’s second busiest airport for international passengers – and Coral Gables which is home to multiple Fortune 500 companies and FIFA’s newest office in anticipation of the 2026 World Cup.
