Mel Gibson’s Costa Rica Compound Relisted for $29.8 million

The private estate owned by Mel Gibson in Costa Rica has been listed for $29.8 million, a markdown from the original market price of $35 million set in 2010.

Gibson’s residence overlooks the beach and is a two-story hacienda with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The property also includes a large courtyard and a swimming pool. Also on the 500-acre property are two guest cottages, each including two bedrooms, a veranda, kitchen, vaulted ceilings and private swimming pool. Luxe amenities include a Balinese entertaining house, a restaurant and jungle cottage–talk about haute.

Gibson, recently divorced, owns multiple properties around the world. His Malibu property is for sale for $11.8 million. In addition to his properties, Gibson owns an island in Fiji.
