We brightened the bedroom of an urban penthouse apartment by adding a spring green resin valance over the expansive windows, and new spring green pillows on the bed and the cool, modern wing chair. The green plays well against the view of the city, and the fireplace adds real warmth to the space. Taking a cue from the building’s sloped windows, we created a headboard that feels modern, sleek, and fresh. New bedside reading lights completed the bedroom makeover. This spring you can brighten your own space like this- and it will look great all year long.

“In the outdoor room, springtime comes naturally to brighten up spaces by design.” states Ryan Hughes, Ryan Hughes Design/Build.  “When pool-side rooms are full of shades of blue and green,  further enhancement can be added via the unexpected  – like wall or vertical gardens or in-water plantings. Seasonal changes to outdoor textiles also can brighten a space with changes to cushion designs or bright colors on shade products. These will not only deliver seasonal style but protection from the elements as well.”
