Produced by Art Miami, the Art Wynwood fair debuted its eighth edition during Presidents Day Weekend at the Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami located in the heart of the cultural epicenter of Miami. A VIP Private Preview was held on an opening day Thursday, February 14, benefitting the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA) an organization dedicated to promoting continuous experimentation in art.

In partnership with Art Wynwood, the world-renowned Miami Yacht Show debuted alongside the event and will continue to do for the coming years. The distinguished yacht show displays the world’s most extraordinary yachts and super-yachts designed by esteemed boat builders.

Attracting an affluent and culturally savvy international audience, Art Wynwood has become a must-see winter destination featuring contemporary and modern art in South Florida, since 2012.

The fair honored artist, Ron English, who coined the term “POPaganda” to describe his trademark fusion of high and low imagery, with the Tony Goldman Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award over a four-course wine dinner at Boulud Sud Miami. The award was presented by Nick Kornlioff, Jessica Goldman Srebnick, Goldman Global Arts, and The Goldman Family.

In addition to the well-known English, Art Wynwood also showcased works from an array of emerging talent, mid-career artists, modern masters from countries including Germany, Chile, Russia, Austria, France, and more.
