Los Angeles’ skyline will be forever transformed with this new hotel/office project, a 73-story skyscraper that will likely be the tallest west of the Mississippi River! The project recently held the world’s largest continuous concrete pour, preparing the foundation for building. Reportedly, a total of 21,200 cubic yards of concrete (around 38,200 metric tons) were used.

The New Wilshire Grand Tower (a project totaling around $1 billion) will stand 1,100 feet high and will offer 400,000 square feet and 900 luxury hotel rooms. The tower is set to open in 2017 and will likely help to revitalize local neighborhoods.
