Katie Lee, the ex-wife of musician Billy Joel, has purchased a home in Water Mill, New York, a publicist for Lee confirms.
Lee paid about $3.5 million, says the publicist. The newly constructed home had been listed for $3.999 million, according to the listing.
The 6,700-square-foot home has six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. It is on roughly two acres with a heated pool.
The house was listed with Kimberly Stengel and Dane Clark of Town & Country Real Estate. The company declined to comment on the deal.
Lee is the author of two cookbooks and the recently published novel, “Groundswell.” She had been living in Sagaponack, where Joel bought her a beach home when they were married. That home is now on the market for $16.75 million.
