Dennis Chernov: “The motivation and keeping everybody on track is the biggest challenges for me because everybody wants, especially in this kind of unknown atmosphere and how difficult the environment is, to find properties, to sell properties, and to help our clients with the amount of competition. We are raising the bar at the same time. It is knowing you are raising the bar with what you did. Let us do more. This is what you did last month, great, forget about it. Let us do more this month. Our business restarts every month. Our last commission check is gone. It is in the bank and you are looking for the next one. It is the grind, expenses, the marketing, the magazines, the videos, the photos, and the little simple staging things.”
Leisa Erickson: “Thinking about opening a brokerage, I feel so much freer now than I was in the beginning of my career. If you have a vision for what you want to achieve and you have a vision for how you want to actually do it, that is a huge accomplishment. I was always having to do with someone else’s way prior and within their confines. Now, the sky is the limit and that is empowering. It gave me a new life. This is not a business. This is a lifestyle. Real estate is really tough. People do not really understand how tough it is and how many hours we work in a week. There is a lot that we do that people have no idea of. It looks very glamorous on TV and it is not all that glamorous. It is a lot of fun. It is very rewarding, but it takes a lot of time, effort, energy, and money to make that wheel turn.”
