Palm Springs has long been a retreat for Hollywood’s most recognizable figures, and one recently sold estate offers a rare connection to that legacy. Known as Casablanca, the property at 1050 N. Cahuilla Road in Palm Springs has remained in the Warner family for decades. The home was originally acquired in the 1950s by Jack Warner, the legendary co-founder of Warner Bros. and a defining figure of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Tucked behind a private gate in the Historic Old Las Palmas neighborhood, the California Spanish compound reflects the classic architecture and lifestyle that shaped Palm Springs during its rise as a desert escape for the film industry’s elite. The estate spans 4,004 square feet with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, set across beautifully landscaped grounds that frame views of the surrounding mountains.

Outdoor living plays a central role in the property’s design. A pool, expansive patio areas, and a rooftop deck create multiple spaces to take in the desert landscape, capturing the relaxed yet sophisticated lifestyle that made Palm Springs a preferred destination for Hollywood since the 1930s.

The property recently sold for more than $1.5 million above its asking price following strong buyer interest. The sale reflects both the home’s architectural character and its direct ties to Hollywood history. Neighbors from Warner’s era have also shared that Elvis Presley was among the guests who spent time at the property, adding another layer to its cultural legacy.

Another notable sale in the Palm Springs area also recently set a record within the PGA West communities. Located at 57175 Peninsula Lane in La Quinta, the Peninsula Estate sits within one of the golf resort’s most private enclaves of just fifteen homes. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence spans nearly 8,000 square feet on more than half an acre.

Inspired by the Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville, Spain, the home features architectural details that blend Mediterranean influence with the desert setting. The property offers unobstructed views of the water, surrounding fairways, and the Santa Rosa Mountains.

Designed for large-scale entertaining, the estate includes an infinity-edge pool and spa, multiple fire features, and expansive terraces on both levels of the home. These outdoor areas create a seamless transition between indoor living and the surrounding landscape.
