Apart from being a golfer’s nirvana, the posh isle—once home to Woods and his then-wife, Swedish native Elin Nordegren (with whom he is now divorced)—houses a spectacular villa, a hunting lodge, a private ferry, a propeller-plane landing strip, and its own set of horse stables. It can be found floating in Lake Mälaren, known for being a splendid swim location given its warm, temperate waters.

According to a rep of Vladi Private Islands—the company listing the property—the getaway is “unique due to its central location,” as it is conveniently situated just an hour away by boat or car from the Swedish capital (which lies just a stone’s throw away from Stockholm).

The island is also home to a historic Viking stronghold that dates back to the 11th Century, described as “a dramatic landscape with approximately 30-meter-high rocks rising out of the lake.”
