Purchase Pending: The Osprey Estate on Lake Tahoe

The $34-million Osprey Estate on Lake Tahoe is pending sale, according to Zillow Blog. The 7,100-square-foot, eight-bedroom home was built by one of America’s most prolific inventors, Jerome Lemelson (who invented the cordless phone, fax machine, tape recorder, camcorder and automated warehouses, among others) and his interior designer wife.

Lemelson tapped design duo Eric Thiele and Rod Ashley to design the contemporary home, which sits among towering old-growth trees on the famous lake, where California and Nevada meet. The property boasts a library, pool, sculpture garden, a dock on the lake, and guest house.
