Here, we caught up with Joe Human who gives us an inside perspective into the firm’s latest project situated in the heart of New Jersey with unparalleled Hudson River views.
Only a handful of times does the opportunity come along to work with such an amazing and trusting client.  Our client, a young up and coming professional, wanted his new home to be a sophisticated place he could relax in, evoking a sense of fun as well as high-end elements that would create a home.  Each room ties together with the overall apartment with small details and elements of fun but no two rooms are alike giving our client a new space to experience.  Within the overall home, we designed several pieces of custom furniture that include the bed and headboard in the Master Bedroom.
The Master Bedroom is draped with a cozy wool wall covering instantly making the space feel warm and inviting.  The main space of the apartment is much more neutral having a hand made wall covering that gives the sense of plaster throughout.  Wanting the option to work from home our client requested an office he could display elements but have space for both him and his spouse to work as well as guests to sit in if needed.  We designed the desk with a durable granite stone that has integrated power / USB outlets and designed and styled the display shelves above that can be used for a revolving collection of new things over time.
Within the office space, we used a light textured wall covering to accent the soft and subtle leather walls with hand-stitched detailing on the opposite side creating a very masculine space.  Within the Guest Bedroom, a dramatic wall covering fills the room and then custom artwork helps tone it down to really draw you into the view of the Manhattan skyline.
