What do you love most about Key Biscayne this time of year?

During the summer months, Key Biscayne and Miami as a whole experience a tourism glut. With the hot, humid weather driving both tourists and locals north for the warmer months, the city experiences a slower sales season than previous months.

This is largely due to the fact that in the winter months, the city comes alive as both international and domestic visitors converge to enjoy the South Florida lifestyle. What is there to live about the market this time of year? It is the best time to buy.

With so many people taking in the sights of the city, there is a lot more competition for real estate during the busier months. This leads to bidding wars and pushing values higher. Buying real estate during the Summer months often leads to a better deal and allows you to hold over that crucial growth period in the Winter months.

Do you see many people moving to Key Biscayne this time of year compared to other seasons?

While the Summer months are usually the quietest time of the year, there are ample opportunities to take advantage of. For investors looking to capitalize on the sellers’ market during the offseason, now is the perfect time to buy.

Is there an area in Key Biscayne where buyers prefer to live? Why?

The island is just a short drive south of Miami Beach making it an easily accessible neighborhood tucked away from the beating heart of the city. For many residents, a view of the ocean is essential and since there are many condos and waterfront properties located along Harbor Drive, this is often one of the most sought-after areas.

What makes Key Biscayne unique compared to other surrounding cities?

Key Biscayne is a unique market as it is smaller in comparison to surrounding cities. Being one of the wealthier, more luxurious neighborhoods of Miami, the city is an ideal market for real estate investors the surrounding land is in limited supply. A large portion of the homes located in Key Biscayne are waterfront mansions making it one of the most desirable residences in Miami.

The island offers unique features targeting the main demographic of wealthy families and investors such as golf courses, national parks, great beaches and some of the best public schools in the USA. Combine the ample amenities with the high-end social scene and you have an idyllic slice of paradise.

Any tips on how people can better design their outdoor spaces for entertaining guests in the summer?

In the summertime, entertaining guests is all about providing comfort and relaxation. Not only does this mean beating the heat, but guests should also feel at home so that they will stay longer and truly enjoy their experience.

This can be achieved with a few simple additions to your outdoor space to provide maximum comfort. Consider more comfortable seating as well as some protection from the elements whether that be an overhead awning or some umbrellas placed around the seating areas.
