Nature’s Haven: A Masterpiece of Outdoor Living by Ryan Hughes Design

“Nature’s Haven,” a 3,600-square-foot outdoor oasis, is a stunning creation by award-winning Ryan Hughes Design. Inspired by a cherished fish statue that held deep meaning for the owner, this design seamlessly blends luxury and function. It’s an ideal space for entertaining guests during sporting events, while also providing a welcoming atmosphere for intimate family gatherings—protected from the elements.

The project harmoniously blends contemporary and traditional design elements, all while maintaining a connection to the fish statue inspiration. Custom water features continue this theme throughout the multi-level, screen-enclosed outdoor space. The clean lines of white stone and marble pavers contrast beautifully with the tile and artificial turf, creating a visually striking layout.

At the opposite side of the pool entrance, a stone façade serves as a stunning backdrop for fire pots, casting a warm glow across the pool. The lower level features a custom fire lounge by Grand Effects, with expansive banquette seating that invites relaxation. This area offers sun-soaked views by day, and at night, it transforms with a colorful lighting display.

The thoughtful illumination enhances every corner of the space, highlighting pathways, plantings, water and fire features, and outdoor rooms of various sizes. “Nature’s Haven” earned a Gold Award in the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) 2024 International Awards of Excellence, cementing Ryan Hughes Design’s status as leaders in innovative outdoor living.
