Queen of Pop Madonna Lists NYC Duplex for $23.5M

Is pop icon Madonna on the move? According to Curbed, the singer has listed her 6,000-square-foot New York City duplex, located in Central Park West, for $23.5 million.

Maintenance of the pre-war duplex, which Architectural Digest called a “low-key yet glamorous sanctuary” in a 1991 feature, reportedly costs about $12,000 a month. The Art Decco-style interior was designed by Madonna’s younger brother, Christopher Ciccone.

The duplex, which occupies the 5th and 6th floors of the building, boasts five wood-burning fireplaces, enough closet space for several wardrobes, 6 bedrooms, 8 baths, a book-clad dining room, an eat-in kitchen with marble counter tops, and the requisite trappings of a pop superstar: a state of the art sound and humidifier system.
