Lenny Kravitz is a funky, soulful, rock ‘n’ roll singer and songwriter whose good looks aren’t overshadowed by all of the tattoos and piercings that adorn his bod. His unique, somewhat eccentric personal style shines through as a parallel in his music and makes him truly inimitable. His talents are diverse; he plays a multitude of instruments, writes his own music, and has the ability to pull off chunky belts and bell-bottoms whilst maintaining sex-symbol status. However, his talents don’t stop there. Lenny Kravitz is also an acclaimed designer, and, in 2003, he founded Kravitz Design, Inc., a commercial and residential design company that focuses on creating diverse, innovative designs that stem from his individual style. So when it came time renovate his own SoHo loft (once again) Kravitz knew what he wanted.
The renovation took place over the past 6 months, during which time the loft that has been listed sporadically since 2004, was taken off the market. The recent reveal of the redecoration was worth the wait. The loft was transformed from an intense, somber essence decorated in jewel tones to an incandescent, bright haven of eclectic luxury. The snakeskin chairs and thick brown furniture have been replaced with lighter, modern elements. Kravtiz’s goal of having a sensual, open, airy atmosphere has definitely been achieved. The space is filled with straight lines, glass tables, and simple décor. Kravitz has said when he got into design, he gravitated toward late ’60s and ’70s retro themes, however this latest reveal is nothing short of modern. Now that the transformation is complete, Kravitz has relisted the loft with the same asking price-a mere $14.995 million.
