Page Academy

Page Academy is West Los Angeles’ favorite private school for children in pre-K through eight grade. In addition to its Beverly Hills location, Page Academy also has campuses in Hancock Park and New Mesa.

With its outstanding reputation for academics, Harvard-Westlake is easily L.A.’s premier preparatory school. West Hollywood’s Verlaine has quickly become a favorite among locals. The restaurant describes its cuisine as “California-inspired Mexican food with a garden setting.” Verlaine is headed by Latin America’s premier chef, Diego Hernández, and incorporates classic Latin flavors into all of its dishes. Favorites like its fish tostada and ceviche,  short rib (braised in black bean broth and avocado leaf, chayote, and verdolaga), and suckling pig (served with sweet potatoes, salsa madre, and smoked squash) are ideal for those looking for a hearty meal in WeHo. The restaurant is also gaining an amazing reputation for its drinks. The Lune de Sang, Parisian Cocktail, and Dessert Grasshopper make delicious additions to any meal.

What is your favorite Sunday activity?

Ellen Von Unwerth Exhibit at the TASCHEN Gallery

For those looking to take in some culture over the weekend, West Hollywood’s TASCHEN Gallery is currently showing renowned fashion and music photographer, Ellen von Unwerth’s “Heimat” exhibition. Described as a “campy Bavarian fantasy” by CNN, the collection is largely influenced by Unwerth’s own experience in Bavaria during her adolescence. The exhibition is a glamorous yet edgy celebration of femininity as scantily clad models perform traditional pastoral chores like milking cows, churning butter, chopping wood, and more.
