Former fashion model Zyvile Cer has taken her eye for beauty from the runway to the homestead, designing a waterfront masterpiece clad seamlessly in travertine and white oak. The effortlessly chic villa offers 7,244 square feet of interiors, contemporarily classic with modern finishes and nods to retro aesthetics, as well as sweeping views of Miami’s tropical cityscape.

Thiago Menezes, AVRC, spearheaded architecture for the stylish pad, which spans five bedrooms and five en-suite bathrooms (plus a powder room) woven together with spacious proportions, creamy travertine, and walls of glass for flooding natural light.

Cer and her husband Fabrice Finkelstein, a diamond mogul from Belgium, are selling the Venetian Islands home at $45M following its recent completion. The couple purchased the land in 2018 for $7.85M when it contained nothing more than a dilapidated older home. Cer says the two fell in love with the parcel for its views of the Miami cityscape and sunset after paddleboarding by one day.

After the property’s original structure was torn down, the couple started building the current home, envisioning an earthy, homey feel. They intended to live in the villa during their winters in Miami, but decided to take on a new project instead near its completion.

The decision was bittersweet for Cer, who said she felt sad when the home was finished and wanted to do something like it again. Looking to the home’s meticulous craftsmanship and invigorating design, it’s easy to see why.

Past the warm welcome of a custom solid wood front door from South America lies a world of sleek simplicity combined with technological touches. The foyer, boasting 24-foot ceilings, gives way to an architectural floating staircase, earthy travertine walls, and electric sliding glass windows and walls adorning the grand salon. A geometric vapor fireplace and textured custom media bookshelf carry the travertine motif smoothly into the villa’s refreshing living room area, which features sinuous geometry with a semi-circular sofa and nesting coffee tables.

Outside, the waterfront oasis offers a lux outdoor lounge set against the ocean scenery. Spanning 106 feet in water frontage, the villa’s Southwest exposure backyard features a 57-foot curved heated pool with jacuzzi, sunken fire pit, and covered lounging and dining areas.

The mansion is poised to set records in the Venetian Islands if it sells close to the asking price, as the median sales price for a luxury single-family home in Miami Beach was $2M in the third quarter of 2022. However, the Miami market has stayed strong despite a slight decline in the countywide luxury market, in part because of the high prices fetched by Venetian homes, said Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman, the property’s listing agent.
