Entrepreneur Frank Schilling
Frank Schilling, a Canadian and Caymanian entrepreneur, is selling the property with Concierge Auctions, in partnership with Bill and Daniel Moss of Coldwell Banker Realty. “This property represents a crown jewel,” Schilling said. “The opportunity to create a private fantasy and legacy estate, far removed but close enough to drive for a Frappuccino and organic breakfast.”
Schilling built his company, Uniregistry, following the dot-com bust by acquiring thousands of domain names. He aggressively expanded his portfolio to over 320,000 domains, and through a blend of advertisements and direct sales, Schilling multiplied his holdings. He originally bought the Malibu property as three separate parcels and combined them into one sprawling estate. He had plans drawn up to construct a mega-mansion inspired by the fictional character Tony Stark, depicted in Robert Downey Jr. in Marvel’s Iron Man movies. However, he has since moved to the Cayman Islands, where he is the proprietor of the restaurant Mykonos Cayman. He has also launched the Greek bubbly rosé Aphrodise.
