In the design of luxury outdoor living spaces, welcoming approaches are often designed with a backyard or waterfront perspective. In a recent complex outdoor design project, Ryan Hughes Design delivered an impressive main entranceway utilizing signature elements. “With custom pools and fire bowls, designer surfaces and engineered lighting, the look crafted for the home’s entrance experience was definitely elevated and inviting,” said Ryan Hughes, founder and creative director. Beginning with a geometric faux turf and poured-in-place concrete driveway pad design, family and guests approach the home with style. Surrounding the entry and extending along the facade is an impressive custom glass tile reflecting pool with vanishing edges. Planters cladded with black granite appear to float within the pool while featuring towering palms dressed in accent lighting. Illuminated stepping pads and stairs lead to the home’s front door past concrete fire bowls and engineered waterfalls. Within a side expanse of the continuing reflecting pool is a 36” acrylic spherical water feature adding interest as well as artistry.
