Del Ben Primitive Knife by Daneluzzo Channels Stone Age

daneluzzo del ben

Channeling the Stone Age? Italian designer Michele Daneluzzo designed this petal-shaped stainless steel knife with the past in mind. The rugged-yet-glossy tool is reminiscent of flint-cutting utensils from the past and boasts a futuristic finish. What chef wouldn’t want this massive (and massively gorgeous) blade for the kitchen?

Daneluzzo tells Dezeen:

“The project analyses the different aspects of the intrinsic relationship between mankind and design, proposing to the modern culture a forgotten tool.”

This magnificent piece of cutlery was launched at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt, and Daneluzzo created the product while attending the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. The knife is now being developed through Del Ben.
