Haute Residence caught up with DiSabato to discuss what he loves most about Naples this time of year and what makes Naples so unique:

What do you love most about your market this time of year?

That there are real buyers and sellers in this market during the summer! Also, the pricing is realistic and not over-inflated like it can be during the season. It is not crowded, we can take our time, and people have a genuine interest to make a deal.

Do you see many people moving to your market this time of year compared to other seasons?

You would think that there would not be many people moving to Naples during the summer, but year after year we get busier and busier during the summer months. We really are changing from seasonal buying time to year-round buying.

Is there an area in your market where buyers prefer to live? Why?

I prefer to live centrally in Naples so I can reach downtown, the beach, and North Naples all within a couple of minutes. The further west and south you get the more prices will increase. In Olde Naples, you get the best of all worlds.

What makes your market unique compared to other surrounding cities?

We were rated one of the highest priced markets in the country last year, but I would say we’re still a "resort town." We are quiet, classy and very unique compared to larger cities. We have great beaches, golf courses, entertainment, shopping, and world-class dining. Oh yeah and the weather isn't that bad either! And don’t forget we’ve been named the Happiest and Healthiest City in America for four years running!

Any tips on how people can better design their outdoor spaces for entertaining guests in the summer?

Summer is no joke in Southwest Florida. Get a trellis or large umbrella for some shade. We still are on the Gulf so there usually is a slight breeze, but the shade is key! After that, all you need is a chaise lounge and a cool cocktail and you’ve got the world by the tail!
