This San Francisco Cow Hollow pied-à-Terre owned by clients with grown children scattered throughout the Bay Area and beyond is a place for the entire family to gather.  The homeowners sought a playful, refined space full of color, unlike their main residence which has a more neutral palette. In step with this instruction, Martha Angus and Katie McCaffrey (Angus-McCaffrey) delivered a sophisticated space with an elegant playfulness beyond compare.

In the formal living room, a custom wool and silk rug from Stark Carpet marry the slipper chairs in yellow velvet from A. Rudin to the coffee table from Oly Studio and starburst mirror found by the clients at an antique market during their travels in France. This space is a subtle nod to the color that saturates the rest of the home.

The dining room located adjacent of the formal living room delights with antique French Empire style chairs upholstered in tiger velvet silk and modern bubble light fixture from Oly. A painted screen by Angus, a classically trained painter, in the manor of Larry Poons brings a light-hearted air.

Not to be outdone in the common living spaces, the green guest bedroom transports to a lush retreat.  Surrounded by Benjamin Moore Opal Essence, the custom bed complete with malachite fabric headboard and velvet bedding invites you to be dramatic, sink in, and feel like royalty.
