Chinoiserie

Chinoiserie is a recurring theme in many European artistic styles and reflect Chinese artistic influences. To see an example of this, view one of our designer’s, Nancy Corzine, use of lacquered chinoiserie armoires in her interior designs.

One of the most respected names in the interior design world is teaming up with J Nelson to celebrate their 12th anniversary. Nancy Corzine, whose luxurious textiles and elegant home furnishings have been celebrated in publications like House Beautiful and House & Garden, will join J Nelson on Thursday, February 21st at 2pm for a lecture and presentation during South Florida Design Park’s Winter Market.

Ms. Corzine will be signing copies of her newest publication from Rizzoli, Nancy Corzine Glamour at Home. A design primer for an industry leader, Glamour at Home captures the elegant, sophisticated world of Hollywood glamour. The book is a must-see, showing how to work with luxurious items like mirrored vanities, silk-covered chaise lounges, and lacquered chinoiserie armoires. Corzine shows how homes anywhere – from urban and rural to coastal – and doles out expert advice on making each room perfect, from the choice or furniture and textile to tips on enlivening a space.
