Bob Hope’s Lautner House on Market for First Time Ever….for $50 Million

For the very first time ever Bob and Dolores Hope’s Palm Spring home will be hitting the market this month at an even higher price than expected, $50 million. Back in November the 1973 John Lautner designed home was reportedly set to hit the market for $45 million, but surprisingly has went up by $5 million. This exclusively designed home resembles a volcano with a hole at its center revealing the sky, three arches and concrete roof.

The Lautner house had very few alterations according to Linda Hope despite the interior that was redesigned by a designer brought in by Dolores Hope. On the back wall of the bar is a Garth Benton mural and wall made of plants in the spa added by Dolores to get it a greenhouse feel.

The Palm Springs property includes six bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms, three half-baths, putting greens, a tennis court, a pond, indoor and outdoor pools, an exercise area and hot tub, a hot commodity for any Los Angeles resident in search for a new home.

Patrick Jordan and Stewart smith of Windermere Real Estate in Palm Springs and Ann Eysenring of Partners Trust in Beverly Hills are currently sharing the listing.
