Two Original Richard Meier Properties List for $10 Million In Potential West Village Combination Loft

American architect Richard Meier has created some of this country's most beautiful properties, in his signature rationalist white. This week one of the rarities of New York real estate cropped up: the opportunity to combine two Richard Meier originals into one massive luxury apartment.

These two post-war properties, located on Charles Street in the heart of the trendy West Village, are listed for $10,000,000. If combined, the apartments would total about 3400 sf, with 45 feet of unobstructed view over the Hudson River through a glass curtain wall.

The realtors behind the listing have said that the dividing wall between the two units can be removed easily; this would create a generous living and entertaining room (their rendering is below). The end result would be a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment with 4 baths. The building itself is also a draw, boasting luxury amenities including a doorman and concierge services, a fitness center with infinity-edge lap pool, a screening room with Meier-designed leather seating, and a private wine cellar.

Susan Green and Brett Miles at Town Residential have the listing.
