Apple recently released a proposal for an incredible 2.8M-square-foot Cupertino headquarters…and it looks like a giant spaceship! The Norman Foster design seems well suited to the trendsetting company, boasting four stories, sustainable materials and design, modern cafeteria, shuttles and a luscious green landscape.
The Mothership’s auditorium is also projected to be a true showpiece, offering 1,000 seats, a glass entryway and stark glass pavilion.
This unusual site was once home to Compaq and HP, and it offers 176 acres in South Bay. Also, when we said sustainable, we meant it. The design will likely run entirely on renewable energy and will include on-site fuel cell plants, natural ventilation and more, according to Wired.
Though interior designs remain very much a mystery, Businessweek puts the total budget at about $5,000,000,000.
