Anderson Cooper Selling Mod NY Pad

After refurbishing a historic firehouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village, CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper has put the contemporary duplex penthouse on the market with an asking price of $3,750,000.

Property records and previous reports show Anderson had picked up his Midtown condo in early 2005 for $2,480,000. At the time, the space was just a half-floor simplex loft-style apartment with exclusive rights to develop the building’s roof for private use. Anderson immediately hired architects to redesign and renovate everything.

The result, according to listing information, is a lustrous and reserved loft-style apartment of close to 3,100 square feet and currently configured with two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Amenities include a state-of-the-art surround sound and lighting systems, radiant heated floors, seven-inch wide aged, smoked Chambord oak floors, steel and a variety of acid etched glass panels. The 12-floor, 30-unit boutique building also offers residents video security and a full-time super to sweep the halls and haul the trash cans in and out.

Listing information shows Andersons penthouse condo carries monthly maintenance and common charges of $3,184.
