if you have company over and need a designated place for drinks, sometimes the most unexpected locations in your home can provide the perfect setting. Have a spare bookcase? Take a cue from designers Phoebe and Jim Howard and turn it into a make-shift bar. Got a spare (or relatively empty) closet? Decorate the walls and use the shelves for storing liquor. Don’t have space to spare? Make a quick bar on the surface of any table/desk. In fact, designer Meg Braff told House Beautiful that “a little bar tucked away in the corner of a living room is such welcoming gesture.”
