Oprah Winfrey makes a multimillion-dollar real estate sale in Montecito, California from the house next door to her. The media mogul’s quiet off-market transaction has sold a ranch-style property on 5.6 acres of land for $14.23 million, doubling her investment since purchasing it in 2005 for $7 million.
Although little is publicly known about the four-bedroom property, its past listing information reveals that it boasts a lawn, a pool, and a tennis court. Despite its luxurious amenities, Ms. Winfrey seems to be a fan of low-key real estate transactions, having quietly sold another Montecito residence for $14.75 million to fellow A-lister Jennifer Aniston last summer.
While the buyer of the property remains unknown, Dirt reports that Hollywood film producer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber is the new owner. The star-studded spot of Montecito is beloved by celebrities and royalty alike, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Ariana Grande, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
