Britney Spears has reportedly sold her luxurious Calabasas mansion, located in the gated Estates at the Oaks neighborhood, at a loss of $1.7 million. The property was purchased by the pop star for $11.8 million less than a year ago, but she recently found a buyer who paid $10.1 million for the home.

The mansion is situated on a 1.6-acre lot and boasts 11,650 square feet of interior space, featuring seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The home's luxurious features include imported onyx, custom-made chandeliers, carved Cantera stone, and Ann Sacks Tile mosaics throughout. The amenities include a tiered, ten-seat home theater, a wine cellar, a lounge with a wet bar, and at least one gift-wrapping room. The outdoor space is just as impressive, featuring a 55-foot pool with a spa, waterfalls, fountains, and a waterslide. There's also a detached one-bedroom guesthouse and a five-car garage, plus a 2,000-square-foot patio complete with its own fireplace and barbecue.

Britney Spears purchased the property using a limited liability company in June but reportedly moved out soon after, along with her husband Sam Asghari. They allegedly found the house too exposed. The property was sold in an off-market deal, so details of the sale are scarce. However, Spears' listing agent Bryce Pennel of Compass said that he was able to source a buyer in under seven days and negotiated a non-contingent, all-cash offer that closed in three business days.

Pennel added, "Historically, homes in this neighborhood sit on the market for over a year and go through several price reductions before selling. It was discussed and mutually agreed upon that we would rather take the slam-dunk than risk selling even lower one year from now, after months of accrued carrying costs and expenses."

The sale of Spears' mansion comes after a judge ruled in November 2021 to release her from a 13-year conservatorship that limited her financial and medical freedoms. While the singer is known for chart-topping hits like "Toxic" and "Oops!... I Did It Again," her legal battles with her conservatorship have garnered significant media attention in recent years.

While Britney Spears took a loss in the sale of her Calabasas mansion, the buyer scored a bargain on a luxurious property in a coveted neighborhood. The property's unique features and amenities are sure to impress, making it an enviable home for anyone looking for an extravagant lifestyle.
