The Pacific Palisades estate, in which late blonde actress-comedian, Thelma Todd (“Hot Toddy”) was found dead in 1935, has been listed for $6 million, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Situated on a hillside in the Castellammare section of Pacific Palisades, the Spanish Revival-style estate, known as “Castillo del Mar,” was built in 1927 for Hollywood filmmaker Roland West, with whom Todd was romantically involved.
She was found, with a broken nose and other injuries, slumped over the front seat of her convertible that was parked in the garage. Her death was ruled a suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Designed by architect, Nathaniel Coleman, with hand-burnished redwood beams, original Art Deco tiles, stained glass windows, and detailed millwork, the residence is totals over half an acre.
An attached two-bedroom guesthouse, as well as a one-bedroom guest room complements the five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom main house.
