Bea Arthur’s L.A. Country Villa Wants $15.995 Million

The ‘80s was a significant milestone for former The Golden Girls actress Bea Arthur who, during the time, also bought a country villa in Brentwood, Los Angeles, for about $551,000. Now the Mediterranean-style, 7,085-square-foot home sits on the market for $15.995 million.

Surrounded by nearly four-acres of sycamores and oaks, the woodland estate consists of five bedrooms and six bathrooms, in addition to the grounds’ waterfall, spa, pool, tennis court, and hiking trails.

The space embraces natural light from its French doors and solid white interior, while stone floors and wood paneled ceilings provide the foundation of the residence.

Arthur, also known for having portrayed the title character in the ’70s hit series Maude, passed away in 2009. The property has remained part of her estate ever since.
