Brad Pitt Debuts Furniture Line

Academy Award-nominated actor Brad Pitt has joined the design world with a new collection of furniture, made in collaboration with Frank Pollaro (pictured above with Pitt).

The line, slated for unveiling November 13th through 15th, is said to feature a contemporary, Art Deco feel. The collection will include a dining table, a cocktail table, side tables, club chairs, a bathtub, and a bed with a tropical-hardwood frame.

Although it may seem a strange cross-over upon first impression, Pitt is actually a design and architecture buff. The actor recently told Architectural Digest that he has been doodling furniture ideas since the 1990s. “I’ve been doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s, when I first discovered [Charles Rennie] Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright,” says Pitt. “Actually, I found Wright in college, when looking for a lazy two-point credit to get out of French. It forever changed my life.”

Below, a sneak peek at some of the pieces, including the two-person tub, the bed and chairs.
