A brand new Samsung dog pad is a canine and human dream come true: complete with treadmill, tablet, paw-operated snack dispenser and hot tub spa, the hi-tech kennel costs $30,000.
At the hands of a dozen designers and builders, the kennel took six weeks to complete and was given away to the winner of a social media contest that ran through March 2, 2015.
According to Fortune, the project followed careful research into the desires of dog owners by Andy Griffiths, president of Samsung Electronics U.K. Of 1,5000 dog owners surveyed, Samsung found that “a quarter of them wanted their pets to have their own treadmill, as well as a tablet or TV. Of the dog owners surveyed, 64% believed their pets would benefit from more technology and gadgets, and 18% said they’d like their furry companion to have its own hot tub.”
