Mediterranean-Style Estate Listed by Golfer Phil Mickelson

Phil Mickelson, an esteemed golfer to be inducted into the golf Hall of Fame in May, is selling one of his properties near San Diego for $7.095 million.

The 9,500-square-foot home is on five acres of beautifully landscaped lawn that is complete with a putting green. With seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and a master bedroom complete with an attached gym, the home is more than accommodating. The ceilings are hand-plastered, and a hand-carved fireplace crafted of white Cantera stone from Italy is a lovely touch that makes the home a modern-day Venetian palace.

Mickelson was the second-highest paid athlete in 2011 in the United

States, estimated to have brought home over $60 million.
