The estate built by hockey icon Wayne Gretzky in California's Lake Sherwood has hit the market for $15 million. The 6.5 acre estate, which Gretzky had designed by architect Richard Landry, is located in the gated community of Sherwood Country Club, with panoramic views of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The 6 bedroom, 8 bathroom property boasts 12,000 square feet and features 2 guest houses, a private screening room, a wine cellar, a master suite with its own sitting room and two bathrooms, and a tennis court. Access to the community's private lake offers a wide array of outdoor activities including: hiking, sailing, kayaking and fishing.  on Lake Sherwood, the community’s private lake.

Located conveniently a mere 35 miles from Los Angeles, the home was custom-built for hockey great Wayne Gretzky and then sold to baseball player Lenny Dykstra for $17.5 million. The home was then auctioned to the current owners, who have given the home an upgrade and placed it back on the market for $14.95 million.
