A client but also a neighbor and friend, she came to ask me if I could give her home a fresh new look without the hassle of buying new furniture and dusty renovations. Dog lovers at first but they also love their traditional furnishings so I opted for soft light, naturally mat finish paint colors from Farrow and Ball (easy to touch up and clean). The colors of Farrow and ball are incomparable, not only do they use only natural color pigments but their matt finish has so much depth and light, the colors just come out amazing and pleasing to the eyes. I complemented it with one of Farrow & balls Lotus wallpaper, lot of character. Finally I replaced the rustic wrought iron curtain rods and curtains with a more modern transparent rods, using beautiful crisp light, airy, neutral, modern fabrics and accessories from Houles, which again are all imported from Paris, France. All this lightness in colors and textures softened the dark wood of her furniture and fireplace.
