Mumbai firm Planet 3 Studios designed this incredible woven pod (much like a bird’s nest) to be used as a meeting space in Baya Park offices. Planet 3 Studios created this unusual structure not only to help divide an open concept room but also considering the birds after which Baya Park is named.
Planet 3 Studios tells Dezeen, “Baya weaver birds make exquisitely complex nests and the brand name and identity borrow from iconographic imagery that is associated with the birds. Our key idea was to build a sculptural, dynamic, fluid form that evokes the Baya nest in an outscaled way.” The structure is constructed from curved plywood ribs.
